I made a move on this TX 200mm f3.5 to acquire the PK mount it came with. It's quite different to the earlier T4 version I posted about in
post #829. It seems pretty clear that the TX vivs are just the equivalent Tokina RMC prime with the TX mount instead of a fixed mount. I haven't seen a tokina nameplate version of the T4 viv 200 (there are plenty of soligors however).
I was impressed with the T4 and I like this lens too, a bit softer at f3.5, plenty sharp as soon as its stopped down. A bit of fringing is quite evident, diminishing steadily as the f-stop goes up. It's pretty close between the two in terms of IQ, IMO, so far ... a case of do you prefer the 1970's look or the 1980's look on your camera ...
