It's about time I shared a photo from my Komine 28mm f/2 close focus. I've had a really good experience with this lens so far, and I feel lucky to have picked it up almost by pure chance. It can be tricky to focus correctly, and I've just learned that often simply setting focus to infinite is easier to create sharp images than trying to finesse a specific focus distance between infinite and the previous distance marker (3 metres). Up-close is where it truly shines, so it's great for close-ups of my cats, but I'm also finding that when focused correctly it also captures some of my favourite environmental scenes, such as this on from much earlier in the year.
I edited this hastily with my blue-light filter still on, so I'm curious to see how it looks tomorrow when I look at it with correct colours. It was also actually too sharp for my usual sharpening methods, so I had to improvise some more subdued settings. Maybe I'll need to give it another pass.
Edit: It's looking quit soft now that I've uploaded it. Does PF do some heavy compressing of attachments? Should I be uploading to flickr instead to link here?
Edit 2: I've changed the image to a flickr link.
