Playing with my Komine made Vivitar 200mm F3.5 on the new K-5. I was worried the higher resolution sensor would make this lens less usable, but it seems just as good on 16mp as it did on 6mp. This was around f5.6, using my Vivitar 285HV on auto mode.

Indeed, this lens behaves beautifully on the K5. Here is a little sample

Nice shots, were you flying? This lens is one of the best kept secrets. I have it and it is wonderful. It came in PkA mount.

No new camera gear for Christmas - my wife and I shouted each other a 60min helicopter tour of Cairns hinterland and reef. Bell Jet Ranger flying between 500 and a 900 feet - I had a back seat with open windows on both sides of the aircraft - very efficient way of taking images of a beautiful location.

Thank you for the compliment. My copy is K mount (K02) and focuses past infinity so needs some careful focusing - it is indeed a beautiful lens. I use a hood with mine!

Remember I am only showing edited highlights - you wouldn't want to see the dismal life lead for the other 50 weeks of the year!

Sharp pic Pepe - and snow would make a nice change from the 30Deg C plus daily average and monsoon rains we have here at the moment.

Vivitar 70-210mm 3.5 at F8 on tripod using the mirror up mode. I took a picture of my new film camera with my favorite manual zoom lens and also first manual lens.

F8 at widest focal length of 70mm. Picture of a processing plant or farm near the air base.
