I recently bought a 105mm f/2.8 Vivitar lens in TX mount with an M42 adapter fitted. Made by Tokina, it's a difficult lens to use as focusing on my copy isn't very smooth and the stop-down mechanism is different from usual - there's a switch on the lens to stop down the aperture but you have to keep it held, it's not an A/M clicky switch. IQ is far from great, even stopped down, but it's a usable lens. I suspect I won't keep hold of it but for now I'll give it some use.

I had an M42 lens like that for a while - I opened it up a little and put a plastic sleeve on the pin/switch which turned it into a permanent manual aperture lens. The 'fix' was able to be reversed before I sold it.

While the lens may not be stellar - its just fun exploring these old lenses eh

A couple with the X-T20 and Vivitar (Komine) 28mm f/2.

Last year I acquired the Kiron 28mm f/2 and now I see a Petri 28/2 for sale for a reasonable price from an online retailer I've bought from occasionally. I'm tempted to get it to increase my collection of 28/2s, though I've no reason to believe that it's any better than the two I have already...
