Nice. I do not recognize the positioning mechanism. How does the locking occur (or where can I see such a mechanism?)

Does turning the knob expand the center arm to jam it against the side arms?

So that looks great, but searching google I only found a few results on sites that linked to trek earth and the like, but have not seen any good photos on how to rotate the tilt mechanism, or how it locks. Any chance you could show some more images of how it works?

Yep. Got it few days ago. This is very fascinating set up which, by the way, can be quite comfortably worked hand held with K-5 in P-mode. First (farthest from the mount) ring is focus, next is aperture, next is tilt and finally you can rotate the whole lens+adapter around the mount axis... I've started playing with it, but eventually I should be able to post some photos as well.

Following up with my previous post. Here is the blog post with some sample shots from this combo. In three words - money well spent.

Nice shots! They have that Flektogon micro-contrast and OOF rendering that I love. Looking forward to more as you explore the tilt-ability.

An interesting stuff to get tilt lenses: Zörk MFS and M39 enlarger lens (e.g. Rodenstock APO-Rodagon 50mm f2.8)

With a 50mm, you can't focus at infinity. To get infinity focusing, you have to use a 90mm or beyond.
Enlarger lenses are often razor sharp so-to me-it worths the cost.
I own a Rodenstock Rogonar-S 90mm f4.5, with the MFS it focuses from infinity to about 475mm (0.35:1), a good choice!

I apologize for my bad English.

how is the images coming out from this setup?
the tilt angle may be too much to get a full image.

In fact, the maximal usable tilt angle depends on the lens focal length.
With a 28mm Schneideir Componon, vignetting is really a problem, because this lens has a rather narrow image circle.
With the 50mm APO-Rodagon, and longer focal length enlarging lenses, there is no vignetting at all even with the maximum tilt angle (i.e about 30° as on the photo below).

This is a shot I made today using the 50mm at full extension of the helicoid:

The pic is not cropped, you cannot see any vignetting effect.

This is the setup, shot using a "point & shoot" camera:

Velbon Sherpa tripod, Velbon SuperMag Slider, K7, EF 530 DG Super Sigma flash with lightsphere, Zörk MFS fully extended & fully tilted, Rodenstock APO-Rodagon 50mm f2.8

This is the magic of enlager lenses: they have a large image circle, so even strongly tilted (about 30° using a Zoerk MFS) most of them induce no vignetting at all!

I have another interesting sample:

Here the lens is a Rodenstock Rogonar-S 90mm f4.5, and I added a 100mm extension tube (I love experiences).

It seems to be impossible to get a correct picture using this setup, doesn't it?

This is the pic shot using the setup above:

No vignetting at all, it's magic!
