Does it not seem that the members of imitation bands are usually quite a bit shorter than those they hope to cover? Maybe it is the legend of the original musicians that make them seem to loom larger but some of the cover bands I have seen just seem like the impostors stand a few inches shorter than their more respectable counters.

Anyway.
Some good stuff there on page 11. I am almost afraid of spoiling them by posting my images as they somehow seem a bit inferior.

I did some experimenting with TCs and the Sigma 50-150mm. I wasn't happy with the results with the Pentax AF 1.7 or A 2x-s but the Tamron-F 1.4x Pz-AF MC4 matches up pretty well--there's some loss of resolution but it's certainly usable.

what do you recommend?
First, I recommend that you post your question here. You should indicate what sort of photography you'd like to pursue with the new lens and what it is about the Kit lens that makes you want to replace it.

Second, you might find this Database helpful .

Third, check the Marketplace for private sales.

Some absolutely awesome shots here!

Taken with a Sigma 17-70mm macro and AF-540FGZ speedlight.

With the Sigma 30mm f1.4@f1.6. Nice lens, gives a 3D-feel to the photo's at large apertures.

how I want that lens!

If I could afford it, I'd own the Sigma 30mm F/1.4, Sigma 50mm F/1.4, and Sigma 85mm F/1.4 right now. And once the 150mm F/2.8 macro comes out

But alas, I am broke

shots from the first day out with an iffy old samsung pantel 300mm f5.6 m42 auto. the aperture is stuck wide open, it's minimum focus is about 60 feet but for $25 i'll live with the issues as it seems to be pretty good
