Having two cameras on the field while taking lightning photographs is a good idea, not only if something fails but also if there is more than one active storm cell.


I had my Pentax K1 set up facing north with an FA 31, and my Pentax KP with a superwide facing west.




Pentax KP Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 @ 12mm 1'30s ISO 200 f/8 - slight crop and NIK filters used.

That looks pretty sharp for a super-zoom.

Here's another from the 17-50/2.8. I like this lens's rendering when focusing up close.

thanks! it was amazing to witness such a large fish being swallowed...........monopod which i have been using as of late instead of the tripod with gimbal head.....

I should look into a monopod, even my FA 80-320 at the long end, can get a bit hard to handle...
