I found this old roll of undeveloped film amongst my late mother's stuff. I took its portrait before sending it off to be developed. Sigma 50mm macro.

Aber Falls with the sigma superwide II 24mm, K3-ii.

Taking advantage of the current delightful sunny interlude in the autumnal monsoon I headed up to Aber Falls looking for fieldfares. No luck, my 150-500mm was unused.

The N facing falls don't get the sun at this time of year. A goodly amount of water coming down thanks to the monsoon...

Lacking an ND filter 1/6th at f22 was the best I could do.

Being such a popular spot, it's a pedestrian superhighway.

No doubt the superwide II is one of the best legacy 24's.

My new (to me) Sigma Super-wide II 24mm f/2.8. Manual focus variant.

Last pic really shows how light can smash the contrast right out of the picture, but this is fine by me. Gives a definite 'film' look which would otherwise have to be post-processed in, given the ability of SMC coatings on Pentax lenses!

that last shot gets lots of character thanks in part tot the "imperfections" of the lens - great mood and shot.

Hello, I fully agree with you, manual focus and automatic aperture, what else !?
