Martin-pêcheur d'Amérique / Belted Kingfisher [Megaceryle alcyon]

Ma meilleure photo jusqu'à maintenant de cet oiseau difficile d'approche ! Il a fallut sortir la chaloupe pour s'en approcher.
==========
My best photo so far of this challenging bird to approach! I had get out with my boat to get closer.

Amazing shot!
Your picture reminds me when I was a child and loved to read books about animals and find pictures to draw. The Belted Kingfisher (Martin Pescador in Spanish BTW) was my favorite bird, it looks so cool!

Picked up a Sigma 24mm Super-Wide II AF with Pentax mount.

Has the horrid 'Zen coating' issue where the rubber of the rubber (aperture in this case) ring leaves black coating on your fingers. I'll have a go at trying to clean it up.

I popped it on my adapter for the Oly EMi MkII and will take it for a spin tomorrow. If it pans out it'll complement the two zooms I have for my ME Super (28-80 and 75-150)

A rag and meths is what you need.
I have also had some success using painters fixative (a sort of spray lacquer/varnish basically) on patches with numbers/f-stops etc.

sigma 100-300mm f4 apo EX

I've got another 100-300mm f4. I sold the previous one, specifically it was a let down at 300mm f4.
A nice day to scurry around enthusiastically with a new acquisition. The sun was at a good angle to try to get some 3D pop on the castle. kS2, jpg.
