Took a crack at imaging the M8 and M20 nebulae with the K1 last night.

Pentax K-1 Sigma 100-300mm f/4 APO EX @ 100mm f/4 t=10s ISO 12800 - 30 image stack with Astrotracer and DFS active. Stacked with deepskystacker, Processed through PS.

100% Crop of the nebulae

Not bad all things considered, In retrospect I should have stopped the lens down to f/5.6 to improve contrast.

A lens all Pentaxians should have a chance to own, however Sigma pulled the plug. 18-300 DC EX HSM Contemporary . On KP

I purchased mine from a Forum Member from Ireland and haven’t seen one for sale since.

Can anyone link or recommend a case/style for my sigma 170-500mm APO lens with collar? While I keep it stored in a pluck and pull airtight case, I'd like something for the times I'm out and about when it's not attached to a camera body: I've never bought just a lens case before, so I'm not sure what I should be looking for. TIA
