Oh man, I could post hundreds of shots taken with the 18-250. It's my walkaround lens, and I'm always pleased with it. Now with the lens correction profiles in Lightroom, it's even better.

Here's a shot taken in my kitchen of Mother's Day lillies.

Here's a shot of the US Hwy 90 bridge over the Pecos River in south Texas near Del Rio. Taken with the DA10-17 fisheye zoom.

DA 16-45 F/4 vs. Tamron 17-50 2.8

Hi all,
I'm wondering if there is anyone here that has used both the DA 16-45 F/4 AND the Tamron 17-50 2.8. Can you give me a brief synopsis on which you liked, and why? I am interested mainly in landscape and walk around use, so I have an interest in edge to edge sharpness, lens flare and contrast, though bokeh is also important. I do have the DA 15mm Ltd., so the difference in wide end is not a big deal to me.

I've tried doing a few searches on this here and came up with absolutely nada, so my apologies if this has been covered ( I can't imagine that it HASN'T been covered).
Thanks,
Steve

Enough flowers, time for something a bit more ... blokey also with the DA55-300

A few from Eastern Creek Race Circuit in Sydney earlier today. Australian GT

It was quite heavily overcast unfortunately, not exactly the best for slowish lens but it did well I thought.
All jpeg straight from the K-7 resized & compressed only.

Mercedes SLS Gullwing (GT3) - first time race outside Europe, this thing sounded awesome! - f4 , 1/1250

As the light faded, I had my first serious go at panning. A few keepers , quite a lot of blurry junk.
.

Audi R8 (V10) LMS - f8, 1/40

Porsche 911 GT3 (997 S) - f10 , 1/40

Mercedes SLS Gullwing (GT3) again. Did I mention how awesome it sounds? - getting really dark now f4, 1/30

Edit: I realised I'd left the SR ON the whole day! So went back the next day and tried with SR OFF with much more sucess.

I like the idea for this thread... I seem to be posting a bunch of DA 50-200 photos, so I found one from my DA 12-24.
This is the one time Custom House in Hamilton, Ontario. Built 1858-60. Its now the Ontario Workers Arts & Heritage Centre.

Straight out of camera

Nice moment captured (last picture).

Here is a picture of the Tour Eiffel taken with the Pentax DA 10-17 fish-eye f/3.5-4.5.

Great shot, I especially like the juxtaposition of the bird (hawk??) next to the B1.
