The Peace Fountain, outside of Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City, this view will soon disappear as there will be a condo built next to the cathedral.

Wonderful shot, with amazing drama, ELPO. Developers have been destroying Brooklyn, NY, desperately throwing up ugly, box-like condos all over these quaint old neighborhoods and driving up rental costs DOUBLE which is
pushing out middle class renters who really have no place to go. Very sad, and frightening. Freddy

Lovely shot, jR. Great depth and detail. A nice composition with a lot of interest. Freddy
Thanks Freddy. I'm very impressed with the IQ that this lens produces.

Here's a few very quick shots using my K20 & DA55-300mm this afternoon. It was having a good nosey around and I just managed to grab my camera!

Great shots, damian. I especially like the fine detail of the tail in shot two and of course the wonderful bokeh in all the shots.
I'll tell you, the 55-300, the plastic 35 and the Sigma 50mm EX macro all take such great shots I'm not sure which one to carry around anymore. The 55-300, while not being a macro,
takes amazing closeup shots because the lens is so fine and the resolution so high that it surpasses my ol.d DA 50-200 lens in overall results. You can crop in so close
nowadays because the new cameras deliver such super resolution. Stunning lens. I'm going to take it out for a stroll in the park, soon. Thanks for showing these. Freddy

Thanks Freddy, number 2 is a good one, the others I think are slightly fuzzy… but then I was hanging out of my bedroom window in a rather precarious position!

Anyhow, seeing as I'm on a roll, here are some other shots with the same combo at this years Cholmondeley Pageant of Power (Cheshire, England).

Yeah, these are beauties, Damian. Like the way you caught the vehicles in the air. Glorious color and wonderful details from that amazing lens. Freddy

I saw in a TV show saying that there is a graduate cleansing of poor/middle class people in Manhattan, if that should happen I fear NYC would lose its diversity which I love so much

Another trip down memory lane with my K-5 and DA 18-250, chance meeting the boy scouts taking over the fountain outside of Eglise Saint-Sulpice in Paris back in the summer of 2011

Outstanding and glorious color, DC. I can only repeat what you said , simply, "I love this lens'. It's like my old Tak 55 on steroids. We're so lucky, aren't we. Freddy

K20 & DA50-300 as previous posts…

We had Blue Tits nesting in our bird box, here are a few shots of parents and eventually the fledgling as it leaves the box and spends some time learning to fly!

A little confused!

An onlooker!

Damian, in your opinion which lens is better IQ for closeups between the DA55-300 and the 50-300. Freddy
