K-3 with DA L 55-300 @300mm, f/5.8, 1/400s, ISO 800, handheld. I keep being amazed by what this thing can deliver.

HD 55-300 @190 f4.5 . Our normally clear skies are very smoky right now, you can't even see the mountain the sun is setting behind.

I think the DA55-300 can focus about 0.1m closer than the Nikon 70-300 assuming the current versions are the same formula as 2010.

Cincinnati Zoo

I left the gigantic DA*60-250 at home and brought the little DA 55-300 on a recent trip to Cincinnati. I love this lens.

If my DA L 55-300 should ever get lost or damaged, it will have to be replaced immediately. This is on a K-3 @ 300mm, f/6.3, 1/1000s, ISO 200.
