DA zoom club

So many times, I am setting up for a shot and something flies in or out of the frame and I don't react fast enough. ....Not this time. This guy flew in right as I pressed the shutter. I pressed two more times. This was the second shot. HD 55-300

Hi all,

I'm pretty new here but I've been enjoying all your pictures and I thought I'd join in the fun! It's been a couple months now that I've been taking pictures of the birds where I live with a HD 55-300 WR, f/4-5.8. These are my first two shots of a bird in flight that I'm happy with––a great blue heron that's been frequenting a seasonal lake close by.

Hand held inside the Milan Duomo. I like the B/W conversion with Nik. (1/60 at f4, ISO 1600). It is a REALLY big cathedral. I focused on the couple, resulting in background being out of focus.

Just outside the Piazza del Popolo, Rome.

Pons Fabricius, Rome.
