That'a a really useful range.
Yeh for full frame it is. I picked up my copy of the 12-24 up used for $400AUD (it was mint copy, brand new and hardly used). It's slower lens at f4, but I can't afford the excellent 15-30 so this will have to suffice for some of those FoV ranges. And I also get away with using the HD DA 20-40 in FF mode as well from about 23-37mm successfully.

Interesting contrasts between the two. Thanks!

upvote for #1!

Much more "drama" to my eye.

I'm leaning toward the B&W version myself, but both are excellent.[COLOR="Silver"]

I lean toward the colour version. I find the clouds more attractive and the green swath accentuates the scene.

Agreed. In particular, the silver greys and blue greys of the color version.add much to the sky's drama IMO. Quick fiddling in GIMP only desaturating the land and leaving sky largely alone may be the best of both worlds. Or possibly slightly saturating the sky some in the BW version.
