I did what every sane person would do in that situation: position myself safely under a tree and put my tripod there

The thunderstorm went by in a safe distance and although I had to wipe some raindrops from the front lens every few minutes (with my t-shirt, because I saw the crazy "golden hour and storm coming around" light, packed my camera with two (non-WR ) lenses and a tripod and went out), I never even had to worry about the non-WR lens to get wet.

Here's the most defined flash that found its way to my sensor:

DA 16-45 @ 16 mm, f/16, 10 s, K-S2

Lightning Strike

I had set the camera to AWB and didn't want to change it too much in post, because 1. I can't exactly remember how it really looked like, and I feel like it was close to that, albeit quite exaggerated, and 2. I thought it made for some, let's say interesting pictures. I've been a fan of documentary style pictures so far, but I also like "bonbon colours", so why not be a little less strict and call it artistic freedom?
