The bright viewfinder is extremely useful, and the extra foot of minimum focus distance compared to the typical 135 of that age. If I owned one I would just bump the contrast and not read the negative reviews.
I haven't done Any PP on my posts from my Takumar(Bayonet) 135 mm f2.5 for I was hoping for tips on using the lens on my K100D body. I realized some of my mistakes but I am still not sure if the camera is controlling or can control the aperture on the lens. To date I am just presetting the aperture and then rolling the on/off/stop down switch to see what it should look like through the viewfinder and that is not working the best. So specific tips on using this beauty on the K100D are welcome.

I just joined the club with my M 135mm f/3.5 from KEH. I noticed there were only a few (maybe 3) in the PPG from this lens. I am going to increase that once I figure out the intricacies of this lens. Here's a few of my first shots, though.

See the sticky thread on using manual lenses at the top of the beginner's forum.

One of this year`s first glimpse of the sun up here.

Winterly forces out by the coast of Norway.

A long shutter speed and roaring coastal sea made this.

I like my A 135 F2.8 but don't use it near enough. Its so much easier to carry around rather than some big zoom (whoops, i have one of those too :-)) Anyway, this thread is inspiring, thank you Douglas for starting it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So many good photographers on this thread but i'll try,

F6.7, 1/45, iso 280

PS: Marc - thanks for being a moderator - I know from past experience its a very necessary but unappreciated job :-)

I'll only post a pic of this incredible live perfomance because i don't want to spoil their show (if is it a porblem fell free to edit or tell me and i'll remove the images).

ISO 1600 1/500 f2.8

I think this worth a 100% crop, both for the lens and the kx iso quality:

They do have somewhat low contrast, don't they? What one would expect from a non-SMC lens? Or?

M150/3.5...that lens could almost get a wice-membership in the 135mm club. It looks to me like all three M120/2.8, M135/3.5 and M150/3.5 have the same basic lens solution, just tweaked a little bit to get a longer or short focal length. Imagine that today, three so similar primes that close to each other...
Sorry for the delay in responding...

They do to some extend. These are the unprocessed vesions, however, I realize now. I did manage to pull more nicer results after a bit of PP.

Regarding the 150, I believe I'm probably about the only user here with that lens, or nearly so. I'm not using it often, but I'll try to post some results shot with it in the near future.
