Snapped with a Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar. Focusing in low light with it was not what I'd call fun.

Bonjour,

A new addition ... FD 135/2.5 w/FD-PK de-glassed converter (x-post) and here's a SOOC wide open test shot taken at 1/100, ISO 400 at less than one meter using an low-watt night table lamp as my light source ... more images to come later ... Salut, J

smc K-135mm 2.5

I am relatively new to photography. I just bought my first 135mm lens, the K135mm 2.5 to use with my K1000. I shot my first roll today on Kentmere 400. I love this lens! I carried a #3 extension tube and that proved very useful for nice macro-esque shots. I love this focal length, it's super versatile for my style of shooting: catching action, landscape, nature close up, portrait, and candid moments at a reasonable distance away. The lens really is sharp, FAST aperture, and such great contrast. What a wonderful lens!!

Oh ho... I didn't know FD-PK critters existed.

I have a pristine old 135mm f/3.5 Sigma mini-tele in FD mount that's been taunting e with my inability to use it for a few years now.

So I've been practicing my manual focusing abilities with an old Tokina 135mm f/2.8. This ....er is all metal and weighs about as much as I imagine that Zeiss 85 weighing aka a bloody ton. These shots aren't great but it does show I can kinda focus manually.
Both of these were shot at f/4 because the fringing and softness wide open makes me sad.

Looks like you have a pretty good handle on manual focusing. Nice sharp shots!

FD-PK critters are quite nice ... you just need to spade or neuter them by a de-glassing ... Salut,J

I guess building materials will not upset the Advocate unduly, when parked there.
