Maybe there is a glitch or setting I don't have set right but on the K3 catch in focus doesn't work with M42 lenses. Works with "A" and "M" lenses but not M42. hmm
I agree ... hmm, odd ... good luck. J

Brilliant photos. The caged lion makes for a particularly powerful shot

Thanks very much! The M135/3.5 renders beautifully and is amazing for the zoo. Those zoo photos are about 6 months old and I am looking forward to going back now that I have a little more experience/skill...

Ha! Well, I put most of those in the Snakes and Reptiles, thread, but here's one that didn't appear there,

K30 and M135/3.5, Anaconda at the Omaha Zoo. If I had a million dollars and a small breeding stock of little pigs, I might have one. ;-) Look at that sweet dopey face!

A baby boy! The use the anacondas to watch the house, and they usually live on the roof of those sheds. No problems if rats and other rodents keep coming. But they can go for the children.

I now take my M 135mm as my long option for holidays, it served me very well in NY. Although I'd disagree with it being very sharp wide open (at least my copy), it performs very well closed down even one stop, and it's smaller and lighter than my 55-300, and I can use it on my 35mm SLRs.
