Been enjoying the spring colors with my Tokina 135 f/2.8. Catch-in focus is a wonderful thing.

That yay feeling revisited update

An update to my original posting...

Just a quick fun happy image to boost my moral on this dreich day and add a bump the 135 thread.

Upload seems to have stripped out exif data, changed sharpness, altered saturation and added colour cast, well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Taken with Pentax-A* 135mm F1.8, at 1/1250, F10, ISO 800

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/attachments/lens-clubs/158206d1359908700-...-copy-copy.jpg

P.S. Just found the problem using a Exif viewer, it says "The software says "WARNING: No color-space metadata and no embedded color profile: Windows and Mac web browsers treat colors randomly. Images for the web are most widly viewable when in the sRGB color space and with an embedded color profile."

Next question is why, I need to go back to Lightroom or CS6 wherever I exported from and check the settings.

Posted this just in case other folk maybe having issues, images to web, colour space sRGB only and if there's nothing embedded, it all goes Pete Tong.

Maybe if I use the save to jpeg to web option in CS6 it converts automatically to sRGB...

Caught this gull doing his best eagle imitation with an M-135mm f3.5. I like this lens a lot more as I learn when to use it.
My thumb often reaches for the film advance lever between shots when I use it. Anyone else feel that urge?

I just won a Pentax A 135mm f2.8 for a great price. The seller is Tom1803, who's well known around here as reputable & knowledgeable. I expect I will be selling my Sears A 135mm macro.

Love this lens! The bokeh, colors and the sharpness are outstanding !

Ok, I thought would share my fresh discovery that one of the lenses I had thought was rubbish turned to be an excellent performer.
Here it is - INA TELEPHOTO 135mm, f3.5

has nice 10 aperture blades

And this one here I took wide open @f3,5, outdoor, ISO 100, 1/80s, K10D

Often, but that has mostly to do with shifting between DSLRs and film SLRs. On the DSLRs my thumb looks for the advance lever. And to my shame I sometimes looks for the display for a preview when I shoot with film...

Congratulations! Yes, Tom has always a small but well selected list of Pentax gear for sale. Never seen anything on his list that did not looked like it was in great shape.

I won this lens in October, it is the first time I have a chance to use it. Looks wonderful but it has some CA that I will have to learn about.

Super Takumar 135/3.5
Sugar Maple shot at f/8.0 and PPed to approximately get the f/3.5 blur.
