Crop image taken using a Pentax k10d with a Chinon 135mm at f/2.8.

For some other image you could take a look at:
Auto Chinon Multi-coated 135mm f/2.8 (Pentax K mount)

The Takumar 135mm f2.5 is my go to lens for a lot of night sky shots. Even though it has a lack of contrast and is not the sharpest lens, that can usually be corrected in post processing. 135mm just seems like the perfect focal length for these kind of shots. And the lens is easy to find for under $50.

Beauty and the beast

Yesterday's find. Super Takumar 135/3.5 @ f/8, 1/90 sec., and a 25mm tube.

Today's find on an outing along the Rivière du Moulin (Mill's River) to shoot the rapids. I had no luck shooting the rapids, the shots were all OOF. If you are wondering, the ball nest is about 2 inches (50mm). Shot with a Super Takumar 135/3.5 @ f/8, 1/500 sec. with the help of a small tube extension.

Sears 135mm f2.8 Macro both stopped down and wide open. These were taken with the 'A' version, made changing aperture a LOT simpler than with its clunkier, non-A brother that I have. These are the OOC JPGs.

My first photo with a Prinzflex F2.8. Looks promising considering this was wide open.

It seems to do very well in the right hands--that's a nice photo!

Thanks Dave, I'm still adapting my creative eye to the focal length but I like this lens.

My Prinzflex f2.8 135.
I think I'll be looking for a screw on hood next.
