This thread cost me money. The initial post got me thinking about having an "old school round up" of lenses for my soon to be re-born ME Super. I managed to win a nice Pentax-M 135mm on ebay over the weekend and today I won a bid for a Pentax-M 28mm f2.8. I considered shipping part of the price I wanted to pay and got a very nice price on both lenses. I knew what the good "average" price should be and set my spending limit. So with the M-50mm 1.7 I already have, I now have the "three amigos" that will make up my ME Super bag. Will be doing B&W film only. I'm pretty excited to use the 28 & 135.

(I gotta stop going on ebay for a while now.)
I started with just a M50/1.7 and look at my signature line now!!!! You've got a way to go!

Takumar Bayonet 135mm f2.5 wide open. Not a SMC lens but a good performer under most conditions.

One thing having a screwed up camera sensor has done has forced me to go faster and longer to get usable shots.

Like this one. Before the sensor woes, I pretty much ignored the 135mm because I felt it clunky. I've been forced to use it from necessity (it along with my 50mm f/1.4 behave the best on a scratched sensor), so I've grudgingly come to appreciate the lens for what it is.

D-star 135mm F2.8

I just sold my pentax k01 to my friend, and his first lens purchase was a 135mm D-star F2.8 lens. Just did a couple test photos with it, didnt spend any time really on composition, pose, or etc. Most of the pictures were shot at F5.6 which nicely blurred out the background but were plenty sharp. The lens is pretty weak on contrast, but lightroom fixes that up plenty.

You always get more for a pair!

Perhaps not in this case.

Socks and sandals, gold watch, sovereign ring, making a roll-up icecream, face like a bulldog sucking a wasp. I reckon a wider lens would have got you a smack in the kipper from an ex train robber lmao.

Aye you could well be right, I found these couple of beauties in Valletta, Malta, but I didn't hear them speak so you can only have a guess at the nationality.
