Went out today with my old K-30 and my rarely used A135 / 2.8. Pretty pleased with the results.

Congratulations!

How do you like the 135 on the K1? I have an F 135 (which I understand is more or less the same as the FA), and I am looking forward
to using it on full-frame once the budget allows.

Thank you.

I like it. It is a little bit long for some things, but basically handles a lot like an 85mm would on crop. The FA 135 is small and focuses really fast. The only negative is it has some purple fringing when you shoot stuff back lit. Otherwise I am very pleased with it (picked it up used for 300-ish).

The F-version is also quite compact and also focuses very fast (my fastest focusing K-mount lens)... and also suffers from some purple fringing, though it is easily fixed in lightroom, for example.

I think I have about ten 135mm lenses - all MF... Most are very good, but none I've gotten to be on par with my copy of this lens.
