Need Inexpensive Bag for...

...K100D, 18-55 and 50-200. It's for my Father-in-law, he doesn't have any other accessories, so really only needs to fit the camera and two lenses. I'd like to stay under $40 if I could.

Thanks,
Todd

Hi Todd,

As you can see from my User CP at the bottom of this post, my set-up comprises a Pentax K10D body & D-BG2 grip,
Tamron 18-250mm zoom & the Sigma 10-20mm wide-zoom.
Have a look at the bag I purchased, which is well constructed, compact but capacious, waterproof, discrete and reasonably inexpensive ! What more could you ask for ? It's called a Lowepro Nova 3 and has additional zippered pouches sewn into the lid to store SD cards etc plus extra compartments and moveable velcro dividing sections.
I'm very pleased with it overall and it's available in: Black, Forest Green, Grey or Navy Blue.
Click on this link to see more:

Capacity: SLR, 3–4 lenses, flash, compact camcorder and accessories
Size (Interior): 9W x 6D x 7.5H in. / 23 x 15 x 19 cm
Outer fabric: water-resistant 600D TXP™ and 600D TXP™ ripstop

Best regards
Richard

P.S. Another benefit is that it's a very 'discrete' bag, which doesn't exactly shout 'come and get me' to low-life scumbags !

Thanks, that's a nice one. But a teeny bit out of my price range.

The velocity is nice, but doesn't appear to be able to carry a lens in addition to the one on the camera. Does it?

I'm very happy with the Velocity 5, which will hold the K10D with kit lens, plus the 50-200, and another lens or flash. It has a nice sized pocket in the front for batteries, SD cards, filters, etc. It works as a hip pack or as a sling pack.

Hi Todd
I made my own. Got a small cross shoulder (courier) bag, one with a tight weave. I then glued small bubble wrap on the inside, put a foam core bottom on it and heavily scotch guarded the outside. It's relatively waterproof, light, flexible and inexpensive. I spent about $20 for the bag and another $10 for the other materials, and I have enough left over to do another bag if I want.

not sure if you're still looking .... but i just bought this bag
LOWEPRO EX 180 PHOTO/VIDEO BAG/FOREST GREEN/NEW - (eBay.ca item 280180401180 end time 10-Dec-07 12:57:23 EST)
and without question it'll fit those two lens even if one lens is not attached to the body ..... if you have a lens on the body, you can most likely get 3 lens inside the bag........ i bought it at their outlet store for $30 (didnt wanna wait for the shipping)

there is a smaller bag which will most likely fit your lens as well
