The photos so a comparison of shooting through an umbrella with, and without, a
CoCo ring flash adapter. One to two f-stops in loss is what is is usually said about using the adapter on a flash. The trading of output power might be worth the gain in a more unified light to some.
Front views of the umbrella were taken at f16, 1/160 sec, ISO 125. The umbrella has to be removed to remove the adapter from the flash, so there might be a little difference in the umbrella position on the stand between the shots if it matters to anyone.
Metz 48 AF-1 on rf-602 firing at 1/8 power.
