Best inexpensive Wireless Flash Trigger ?

I currently have the Cactus v2 and it fell and was damaged. So far it has worked very well for me. It's a hobby and doesn't get used a lot. But I do use it now and then to fire a Sunpak 383.

I'm not against buying the Cactus v2 again. Works for me. I just wanted to see if there are any alternatives I may have overlooked. Inexpensive ones.

Thanks
Fred

I have a couple of AF280T flashes and was thinking about getting some radio triggers as well - interested in seeing some other suggestions!

So it looks like the Cactus v4 is an upgrade of the v2. For a couple dollars more that might be the way to go...

Any other ideas ?

Thanks
Fred

I bought the PT-04 off ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390205207494 earlier this year and haven't used them a ton. It took about 10 days to arrive from China.

My observations:

a) Feel cheaply made (all plastic) but has a metal thread insert in the hot shoe for attaching directly to a light stand.

b) No mis-fires yet but I've my flashes have been within 8 ft each time I've used them.

c) uses AAA batteries (I like this part)

d) I would buy them again, since I'm only a hobbyist.

Moved to Accessories. It's a better fit here.

I have 2 sets of the Yonguo RF-602 which I am pretty happy with. The sync speed is 1/125 sec (can get 1/180 with a piece of tape but I seldom have a need for that).

I also use it as an RF wireless shutter release (maybe even more than as a wireless flash trigger).

I don't know what your definition of inexpensive is, but to me the best value for radio triggers is the Cybersyncs. Reasonably priced (at least compared to Pocket Wizards), unbeatable reliability, and legendary customer service. But that's just my opinion.
