I need to obtain a macro ring light flash unit for my Pentax K-7 camera. What units work with the K-7? I understand some of them may hurt the camera because of their strength.

As I recall, the two P-TTL options with full functionality are the Pentax AF160FC and Metz 15 MS-1. The thread here is the place to start on them: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-camera-field-accessories/103703-ri...15-ms-1-a.html

There are other options if you are willing to do without P-TTL, and some people have made their own bodged solutions which you can easly find in this forum. Also, you can get a ring light (always on, fixed brigtness LEDs) on ebay, etc for about $50.

The Sigma works great and is PTTL. I use it on M.

I know there were some reviews for this here earlier this year. Generally it worked rather well (although not quite as good as a proper ring flash) as I recall
