Hello all,

I recently purchased at Flash Wave III radio trigger/receiver. Everything is working well up to shutter speed of 1/50, at 1/60 the bottom third of the frame is filled with shadow, 1/80 and higher it is completely black.

If I take the trigger/receiver out of the equation and mount it directly to the hot shoes in manual mode not PTTL. I'm able to shoot at up to 1/180 with no problem.

Test configuration
Camera: k-x
Mode: Manual
Aperture: 4.0
ISO:200
Shutter: 1/50, 1/60, 1/80

Flash: AF360FGZ
Mode: Manual @ Full power

Fresh batteries for all units, I even bought a new coin battery for the trigger.

Am I doing something wrong? Or a hardware limitation? Or a hardware malfunction?

try using the focus botton first

It most likely is a hardware limitation of the radio trigger. It sounds like the response time is on the slow side and it is firing the flash late.
