Astral CZ-55 Flash??

Has anyone heard of this flash? I can't find any information for it. The person selling it says it's a universal flash ... actually, they said it "could be" universal. I don't know the first thing about flashes, as I'm purchasing my first.

Anyone have any thoughts about this flash?

It's an old flash, probably not good to use with new DSLR . Voltage can fry the electronic

Why not stick with the tried and true name brands Like Vivitar, Sunpak or Pentax? I paid $30.00 for a Pentax AF280T and AF200S off the local Craigslist, and I am sure you could as well. They are quite powerful, the flash head swivels and tilts (AF280T) and has hi/lo manual controls. I can't justify buying the latest P-TTL flashes for the amount of flash shooting I do and Pentax AF280T fits the bill nicely.

I sold them when I worked for Astral Photo back in the last century (really).
I believe they were made by Hanimex, but I can't say for sure. Nice little flash, IIRC it sold new for less than $50.00.
Three auto ranges, and I think decent power output.
However, as mentioned, the trigger voltage is the great unknown, and were I using it, I would also be using a Safe-Sync (or similar) to protect the camera.
