Need Help Agian! Wireless Flash! with my K-5

I now have the Youngnuo RF-602 but after a few test shot with it (I used the Metz-48af-1) i found that the highest sync speed it can reached is 1/160. Is there any way to reach more than 1/160 ?

Here the question is...

1. What is the highest sync speed of the Elinchrom EL-Skyport and cactus V5 ? can it sync faster than 1/160. <I heard that catus v5 hihest sync speed is about 1/1000 ,is it real?>

2. can i use the PocketWizard FlexTT5 Transceiver Radio Slave for Canon E-TTL II System on my K-5 (I'm not tend to use the TTL all i want is to sync faster than 1/160 in M mode.)

Thanks again for help!

I think you are stuck at 1/160 instead of 1/180 due to the way you have your EV steps defined; as 1/3 instead of 1/2. It may not be that title in the Menu but probably close (EV Steps? Sensitivity Steps? ). Its just the way the math works out I think.

Yes, my cactus V5 have a sync rate far higher than I will ever be able to use as I just punch up X-Sync mode instead of Manual (you might try that too) and everything is 1/180 with no worries.

Can't address your last question.

First, the sync speed is camera specific and is, 1/250 for, say a Nikon D7000, not 1/1000. Let me assume you are just new at this but if you can look up the Canikon specs I know you could have done the same for a Pentax. But assuming its an honest question, the current Pentax models all have a 1/180s sync. There is HSS (High Speed Sync) available that allows you to use a flash at very high speeds but you should read up on it before planning to shoot at 1/800 with a flash.

This isn't a troubleshooting question. Moved to the lens section.
