Built in Flash & wireless

Hi,
I have recently bought the 360 Pentax flash for my K10D, but I'm not sure if it's possible in wireless mode, for the built in flash not to contribute to the actual shot, only the flash from the 360.
I've tried different settings but the built in flash flashes then they both flash for the shot.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers
Justin

In the custom menu, set "Flash in wireless mode" to "2 Off".

Hi,
I have tried that, they both still flash together when taking the shot.
I have the camera on wireless ch1 (360 is ch1) & the 360 in wireless mode & slave.

Weird. Is your K10D upgraded to at least firmware 1.10 ? AFAIK, wireless mode was non-functional with 1.00. I can't think of anything else, other than a defective camera or flash.

It looks like you know the settings in the custom menu to choose the built-in flash to be either being a controller (does not contribute to the flash) and the master (controller AND contributes to the flash).

You will in both settings see the built-in flash fire, in the controller ONLY setting the flash you see is the pre-flash for P-TTL and to communicate to the slave and it is not powerful enough to contribute to your image.

thanks for the answers guys.
I thought that the built in would flash before taking the pic, for the info, then only the 360 flash for the actual picture.
Also I have the 360 in Slave mode, what do you use the Master & Controller modes on the flash for, & how?

Cheers
Justin
