Metz 50 AF1 or Sigma 610 Super?

Dear Pentax Community,
I am looking for advise. I am thinking to get my first flash for K5. Will use it mainly as a fill in flash for birds and macro photography as well as some portraits but not too often. So, I am completely new to flashes so seeking for advise here. My choices narrowed to Sigma 610 Super and Metz 50. I did not found a lot of users comparison of these two unites here probably coz they are quite new. So, will really appreciate if someone could have some comments on these two flashes. Other words - which way should I go?
Thank you in advance.
Yuriy

My little (very little) insight. I own both the metz 50 and sigma 530 super. And if I had to choose I would keep the metz. No immediate or logical reason why, I just feel more comfortable with the metz. If I grab a flash, its the metz. I cannot compare the 6xx line of stigmas though, sorry

Thanks a lot for reply.
I think Sigma 530 might be similar to 610, at least about the features. Am I wrong?
Why do you feel more comfortable with Metz? Is it about size, performance, menu?

The Sigma 500, 530 and 610 are the same, except for the output power.

The Sigma doesn't point that much down, not the best choice for macro except if you have a long working distance. I don't know about the Metz. I know Metz make flashes that are more compact. Both are well regarded. My own experience with the Sigma is that mine (530) is malfunctionning and it is now the second time I have to send it for repairs, but in general those flashes work well and are reliable.
