Will this work on K20D?
Is there alternatives to help AF lock in the dark?

Most Metz flashes starting with the Z/MZ series have dark red focus light, and with an adapter SCA3701 the flash itself can be switched off, if needed. Last week a Metz Mecablitz 32MZ-3 went on german eBay for €10 (less than USD 14).

If you don't need a flash, just the focus beam, a Metz Adapter SCA374/2 AF M1 will do. It wasn't made for digital, but works quite well with my K200D.
