I've been told that the AF400T needs the 4P Sync Cord C for a PC sync connection but doesn't it also support a standard PC sync cable for Non-TTL? Is this a Male to Male PC sync connection?

I use the quantum 2 pack with both of my AF400T. It works great, can power both flashes at the same time and recycles fast. It is a fairly heavy external pack that uses a SLA battery and can be attached to the flash with a cord that you screw at the bottom of the handle instead of the 6-battery holder. You can clip the pack on your belt or use a shoulder strap. I have also the HV pack but it next to impossible to find 510V batteries so I never use it.
Ditto. When I need to take a ton of flashes, I use pretty much the same setup.

Yes it does. You can use any standard male-to-male PC cord.

Yes it has a small PC port, at the bottom of the squarish top, close to the shaft. I have not tried it, so I do not know whether it supports the A setting also, or just the M.
