AF280T Not charging...

Hey, my AF280T is not charging. Even when batteries are freshly charged it's taking ages to charge, and often not working at all. Anyone got any ideas, or had anything similar happen?

Hi!
I think you should read this topic :
AF280T problem: Pentax SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review
I started it when my AF280T arrived and it wouldnt charge.
Now it works almost perfectly. Everytime i wanna turn it on, i have to turn it on normally and let it there for 5 seconds, then i have to push the switch in order to get it stuck between the two positions, and then push it to on again. Then its on
Its weird, but it works everytime. I'll try to clean the button to see if i can solve this

Also, make sure that your battery door is closed all the way.

Hi, thanks for the advice, very helpful. I found that if I turn it on and then half close the battery door it gets it working. Then fully closed - it's OK. Old flash, funky connections. I can live with that. Thanks again!

Clean all contacts with WD-40 might help.
