Sorry, I haven't used it on camera at all

I have one on the way - hope it works fine.
I will buy a transmitter kit, but i would prefer that it work on camera too.

Have not received the flash yet

And then the flash had arrived as i came home from work

(YN-560 II)

I can say that it works perfectly on my K-5 mounted in the hotshoe. With 40-50 tries i did not have any misfires or problems at all.
The quality is really great, and delivered in a nice "soft-case" for protecting the flash when carrying it around.

I have tried different output levels (1/1, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, 1/128), and it also keeps up with the K-5 in continuing shooting mode fine, when the power is dialed down.
I'm impressed with the recycle speed too.
When it's put in S2 mode, it even ignores the preflash from the onboard flash, and can be used as remote slave

All in all very happy with the purchase, and i'm looking forward to use it "for real"

I think the build quality is really good.
Definitely better than i expected (especially for the price). And it came with the softcase to carry it in, and a "flashstand".

Mounted it is a big flash, a bit "top-heavy"

But i think i will use on an off the camera about 50/50, and i don't think it will be "too heavy".
I think the balance would be really good with the grip, but i don't have that.

But you also have to remember that it is a powerfull flash with a GN of 58 when zoomed to 105mm according to the manual.
I have seen some tests online saying that it's actually a little less powerfull, but still really strong.

Hi,

It's running 1.12 - but i think there is a 1.13, i have just not updated yet.
