Broken 540 : Worth fixing?

Dropped my 540. Now the power zoom head is sticky, wireless flash won't channel sync with camera, and I can't switch flash mode from regular to slow sync or high sync. Any ideas what it would cost to fix? Seems to me like with so much wrong now, it will be awfully pricey. Thoughts?

Things like that, you probably have to replace. This is why we used to subject flashes to 'the drop test.'

"If you drop it on the floor, are you losing money tonight?"

That's why the 283 and 285s were the workhorses. And why a five hundred dollar flash unit in any decade's dollars, well...

That said, it's possible someone could fix the thing.
