Does anybody have any experince with a Wein Products Hot Shoe Slave and how it is supposed to work? I bought one to trigger a second flash but I'm not sure if the one I bought is working right. I have it attached to an older Vivitar 2800-D flash and the only time I have been able to get the hot shoe slave to set the Vivitar flash off was to hold my main flash right on top of the hot shoe slave. According to the info that comes with the Slave is it will fire a remote strobe up to 150 feet from the triggering flash. Is it possible I bought a bad one?
