I have a Pentax Super Program and the
Pentax AF 280T flash. I have the cable to
connect the hot shoe on the camera to a Metz 45 CT-3 flash for TTL. What cable do
I need to connect hot shoe on camera to
the Pentax grip with the AF 280T flash on top? Any source?

Best regards,

/Clay

You can use the Pentax 4P Cable type B. Comes in 300mm curled and 5m straight.

You can use the AF-280T flash in TTL mode only on the ist D, ist DS and, I think, the ist DS2 digital cameras.

On all other Pentax digital SLRs you can use the flash in manual, or using the Auto sensor of the flash.

I presume the grip is the Pentax Hot Shoe Grip with the two connectors on the left and right sides for 4P cables.

The "proper" cord is Pentax 4P Synchro Cord B. It's not easy to find, and if found, not inexpensive.

I'm not surprised, the Metz cable was pricey as well.

Thanks all for the fast replies.

I have that exact set up with the SuperProgram, flash bracket and AF280t. I use with my K7 as well. As mentioned it works in manual mode. I have also picked up some Cactus v5 triggers as well for triggering the flash to give me more flexibility as I have more than one flash.

We are close to the same. I have 2 mini Sunpak slave triggers for

more power output.
