What's up with my new Yongnuo Speedlite YN 560-II...no hotshoe mount?

I got my new Yongnuo YN560-II in the mail a few days ago, but didn't have time to play with it until this morning. I grabbed a set of freshly charged AA batteries, and excitedly opened the box. My excitement quickly turned to confusion though when I looked at the mount on the flash. It's not a standard hotshoe mount, and it is not a mount I have ever seen before.

I'm including a couple pictures below, but my question is, is this simply a case of the flash missing a part, or is this some other kind of mount?

I'm going to contact the seller and see what they have to say.

That's what I was wondering...whether it's some other mount, or whether the flash is defective. Just for the sake of my curiosity, if that is another mount, does anybody know what it is? I don't remember seeing a corresponding mount an another camera, and as far as I know, most of the other cameras such as Canon, Nikon, etc use the same basic hotshoe shape.

It is a mount!

They go on these type of things:
http://www.alzodigital.com/online_store/digital_camera_accessory_ocsc_sony.htm

So it looks like Sony and Minolta have those mounts

I just got home and looked at the box, and it has a sticker on the end that says "for S", so I think that the Sony theory must be correct.

Are you 100% sure that you didn't actually order the Sony version yourself?

Are you implying that I could have possibly made a mistake? How dare you sir!

Ha ha...good question. I wondered the same thing, so the first thing I did was go back and check, and it was indeed advertised as being for "Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Olympus". The same seller also had the Sony version listed for sale, so I imagine it was just a case of getting the boxes mixed up.

I've already contacted the seller, and he is shipping the correct flash today via FedEx Express, and I should get it on Thursday. He said he is also including a return postage label for the Sony flash.
