Pentax AF160FC Ring Light on DFA 50?

Looking at the specs of the AF160FC ring light, I see it shows an adapter that is dedicated to the DFA macro lenses. I've found some pics of the light on the DFA 100 macro WR, but none with it mounted to the DFA 50 macro.

Since the DFA 50 macro is quite a bit shorter in length than the 100WR, I'm wondering if it would be cumbersome or unusable for some reason on the DFA 50.

Anyone have this combination that can share a pic or opinions?

well the adapter is mainly metal, with the lensmount part being made of the same plastic the lens hood is made from - so it would make the combination somewhat cumbersome, but perfectly usable - i'm not sure if the lens hood attachment ring on the 50mm f/2.5 is the same diameter as the DFA100mm f/2.8 WR.

Thanks. I'm almost positive that the attachment ring would fit both the 100WR and the 50 the same. I noticed that the adapter ring does have some length to it which would help. My main concern is the ring flash being too close to the camera body - mainly not having good access to the focus ring.

That won't be a problem. I just grabbed my ringflash adapter out of the box the Pentax ringflash comes in, and with the ringflash attached you should have approximately 45mm of clearance between the flash head and the focusing ring.

That is exactly what I needed to know - thank you!
