Metz 58 AF-2 f/w v4.0 released

WARNING! Please do read this post before upgrading the firmware. It may have a SERIOUS BUG!

Could anyone who upgraded either Metz 58 AF-1 or Metz 58 AF-2 confirm whether "A" and "M" modes work as before?

I received confirmation from Metz Germany that the V4.0 updated rendered the "A" and "M" modes useless. They are working on an update.

The good news:

It is possible to revert to the old V3.0 firmware.
The service at Metz is exemplary. Very friendly and knowledgeable people.
While it will never be possible for the 58 AF-2 to be an HSS-master, they have improved its HSS slave performance (for the K-5 and enabled it for the K-30).

Update:
Firmware V4.1 (released on 26.06.2013)

Improvements:

1. HSS function with Pentax K-30 and K-5 II will be enabled.

2. Automatic-flash-mode and manual-flash-mode will be enabled again.

Firmware v. 5.1 for Metz 58 AF-1 WORKS as it should have been from the start. PROBLEM SOLVED!
