Yongnuo RF-603 II

Hi,

I have a K-30 camera with two flashes (Metz 50 AF-1 and YN-460II). I am looking for a budget flash trigger for my camera. I know the problems with RF-602/603 triggers but I have found a new version of RF-603 (II). Can anyone help me and tell me whether it is possible to use the new version with Pentax cameras? What about problems with sync time (are there still problems with black line at 1/160-180)? What is the better choice (RF-602/603 or 603II)?

I've ordered a RF 603N II, but haven't received it yet. That said, I've been able to use the first version of the RF-603N (Nikon) on a K-5II and K-30 with no problems, and no black lines at 1/180. The only differences between the 603 and the 603 II (that I know of) are a locking nut on the hotshoe foot, the power switch is on the side, and the power switch has a TX setting, which makes the unit a dedicated transmitter.

@THoog: Do you have any experience with RF 602 (with K30)?

I haven't used the RF-602. From what I've read, one of the biggest advantages of the RF-603 over the RF-602 is that all units use the same AAA batteries.

Just make sure you get the Nikon version, and you should be okay.
