Ebay Trigger and AF360

Hi, I just got a set of ebay wireless triggers and it doesn't seem to trigger my AF360 right. I also have a sunpak 383 and that triggers just fine. I see the AF360 go off but it doesn't show up in the picture so i'm guessing it's not synced right. Any suggestions? The wireless triggers i have are the PT-04 triggers. It doesn't say "Cactus" so i don't think they are the V2 triggers..

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I really think we should start considering compiling a flash thread for the knowledge base these kind of questions seem to come up daily nowadays.

On to the question.
You have the transmitter on the camera and the receiver on the flash? And the shutter speed of the camera is set to what? it has to be below 1/180 and with the cactus some cant get it to sync more than 1/100

eek! I'm pretty sure you got the older models......unfortunately they aren't quite as reliable as the V2's...I agree with what Andreas suggested, the fastest I've been able to sync with the ebay triggers is 1/125

perhaps i should've explained better. I have two recievers and two flashes that' I've interchanged and tested. They both are functioning exactly the same. The problem is when I have a reciever attached to my AF360 it always flashes late. I had to slow down to 1/30 to get the af360 to sync. I used the same exact trigger on my Sunpak 383 and I have no problems syncing at 1/180. I tried looking through the AF360 manual but I couldn't find anything, is there something causing it to delay or is it a setting? I'm using the AF360 in manual mode.

no worries, i tried out that flash trigger in a camera shop. it will almost always fire, right? just not at the right time?
try using like 1 whole second exposure indoors. you'll probably see it. i found that it was very inconsistent above 1/30th sec. sometimes it would fire at 1/160, sometimes not. which is why i think i'd rather go the optical slave way
