I am building out my studio, and I have a nice 11 1/2' wall for backdrops. Unfortunately, there are entrances at either end so backdrops on stands are not possible. Nor, frankly, do I really want them. I've been looking at the roller systems, but they seem quite limited -- generally to 3 backdrops -- and since my ceiling is only 8' I want to maximize every bit of my vertical space.

I was thinking of a curtain track system, where I could hang up everything and just slide it out of the way. This is for product and portrait mostly, so I don't need the big long backdrops. If I ever do, I could install paper on the roller systems behind the track.

Lo and behold they sell them for photography, but reviews seem to be thin on the ground. Has anyone used one of these systems, and how did they perform for you?

A length of "C" track with rollers is common and you can get at home depot etc or if you want something really industrial look here:

Unfortunately, I have struck out at my local stores. I would like to look at them/play with them before buying.
