I would rather have a D4 with its faster 1/250th sync speed and fast Nikkor telephoto glass than to waste time cropping out black bars.
Thanks, so would I, but I don't have a D4, so I wish that Pentax would just allow us to override the limit like everbody else does in those cases where it would help.
