old Sunpak Auto321 flash - compatability....

Hello,
Is it possible to use older flash units from the late 70's-early 80's with either an *istDS or K10D. I have an old Sunpak Auto321 flash origionally bought to use with my Nikon FE2. I have come to the conclusion that the built-in flash on my K10D is nearly useless - especially with the kit lens. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Bryant P.
