LED camera/video lights on film cameras?

Just wondering, but will LED camera/video lights (like this one Flashpoint Shoe Mountable 160 LED Video Light, Dimmable CL-160) work on film camera's without any problems?

They will, but they're very, very weak.

I suggest reading the user reviews. The film in your camera should not be bothered by the "peaky" nature of the LEDs, but there are issues with this unit in regard to battery usage.

I use this one: Manfrotto ML360HP Midi Plus-36 LED Panel with Diffuser ML360HP
I'm quite happy with it, outcome is not very powerful, but it does help in case of poor light and for the fill. Whats good , that its portable and has decent battery life.

I use the Metz Mecalight 320 on my K-01 and it does a great job of adding fill light for video and stills. Has a clear and warm magnetic diffuser filter plus it's dimmable too.

If you hope that it will replace a flash, it won't. Just not powerful enough. Especially for bouncing.

But if close enough to the subject it can help with some fill.

I know, I read the reviews on it, don't plan on getting that one. I was just asking about the LED lights in general, just used that model as a reference.

As long as it emits photons between 400nm and 900nm it will work.
