I have and recommend the Metz 26 AF-1. Its not too big, swivels up and down, powerful, p-ttl and 1/180 hss. Its also can be used as a slave flash and is equipped with a 2 power led light (not much reach or very powerful).

1/180 is not HSS. The Metz 26 af-1 does not support HSS.

Thanks for the correction. As mentioned, it works well with the K-3 II.

All: I just finished updating the firmware on the mecablitz 26 AF-1 digital flash for Pentax. I thought to take a minute to voice some thoughts here. I bought this flash specifically for use on the K3II and it works great as a small, pocketable unit. It has traveled with my kit for about 18 months now and never failed to work as designed. My "other flashes" for Pentax film bodies and a K200D are 2 units of the older AF360FGZ v1 variety which work well for me, but are sooo analog now! :-) The AF-1 slave and primary roles work fine and do the fill work, shadow blasting needed on occasion. The AF-1 is not a powerhouse, nor does it eat power cells excessively. Updating its firmware was easy, but the process via Metz is a bit oldfashioned. Note: the process with WIN10 is slick and works fine! Mecablitz 26 AF-1 digital flash for Pentax fas a lot of small pluses, but the biggest two for me are compact & lightweight plus camera compatibility. As whether it plays well with other systems or integrates into studio systems, I have no contribution there. No regrets buying this flash unit!

Yeah, I bought one to use with my K-1 soon after asking about it in this thread, and it's been great for all the reasons you say. I seldom use a flash, just for fill really, so a tiny flash that fits in a pocket is perfect for my needs. Seems quite powerful for it's size. BTW, I held on to my old Metz 50 waiting for a software update from Metz for the K-1. When the update finally came for Mac computers, that flash works perfectly now too.
