Fg200

Hi, I've just bought a K3ii and want a small flash rather than carrying a 540fgz around all the time. Will the 200fg work as a master on the camera? and why is it $45.00 at B&H and $225.00 in Canada? Or is there a better alternative?

Thanks

The flash is practically being given away in the US, as it's being included in various DSLR kits at no extra cost. There's now a new model that can tilt: the AF201 FG.

You should also be able to find new AF 200's for cheap on the Marketplace.

Wireless slave mode is not supported, but you should be able to trigger other flashes, like with the built in flash.

The 'p-ttl matt.dm' website reports that the AF200FG has no p-ttl wireless functioning, neither as slave nor as on-camera controller. You would be limited to using it as an optical trigger for other slave flashes that have 'dumb slave' modes and react to either the pre-flash or main flash from the trigger unit. So no automatic wireless flash control.

Thanks guys. My camera store advised to get a metz, 24-1 I think, as that would be compatible.

I have Metz-24. I like it and prefer Metz24 over FGZ540 and FGZ360 outdoor for its weight
However indoor, I need a power of FGZ540
